Pears, pears the beautiful fruit, the more you eat them, the more you…poop! If your veggie baby is suffering from some constipation, pears are one of the top foods that can help move things along. This simple puree is delicious and full of dietary fibre; so let your veggie baby gobble it up and reap the digestive rewards.
Tip: After I feed my baby some pears, I pop him into his exersaucer (aka the “poopersaucer”), sit back and let the magic happen. Presto, diaper is full!
Ingredients
2 medium pears, washed, peeled and chopped
1-3 Tbsp water, breastmilk or formula
Instructions
In a small pot, cook your pears with 1-2 inches of water, until soft. Once cooked, add to your blender or food processor with fresh water, breastmilk or formula to the puree to create the consistency you want. You can simply mash the pear for older babies if you’d like a chunkier consistency, or offer long slices as finger food.
Keep any unused puree in the fridge for up to three days, or freeze.
