You can’t beat a beet smoothie! Beets are really very healthy, and the purple colour is sure to please your baby or toddler.
You can use raw or cooked beets — just make sure you peel the skin first. If cooking your beets first, make sure they are nice and cool before adding them to your smoothie. Alternatively, you can cook and mash your beets, then put them in the freezer so you’re using the beets as your “cold” element for your smoothie.
You can also add ice cubes to the blender to help give this recipe a cool, smoothie-like texture.
Add water or plant-based milk if you need a liquid to help blend your smoothie.
