Necessary for all bodily functions, hydration.
– Birth to 6 months: Breast or formula feed only
– 6-12 months: Not much water is required – limit to 2-4 ounces daily. If it’s particularly hot outside or if baby is very constipated, he or she may benefit from more water.
– 1-3 years: Approximately 6-8 ounces. Offer between meals. As long as your baby’s urine is pale yellow, she’s getting enough hydration. But, we recommend offering water over juice, as it’s better for your baby’s health, and better for his teeth.
